Cilantro Lime Rice

Whether you are serving fajitas, burrito bowls, or even tacos this rice is a great side dish!

    Cook Time: 15 mins 

    Cooking Method: Stove 

    Cooking Temp: Med-High 

  • Ingredients

    • 1 1/2 cups jasmine or basmati rice 
       
    • 3 cups water or chicken broth ( if not using chicken boullion paste) 
       
    • 1 bunch cilantro 
       
    • 1-2 limes 
       
    • 1 tsp sea salt 
       
    • 2 TBS chicken boullion paste ( if not using chicken broth) 
  • Directions

    1. Add rice, water, diced garlic clove, salt, and chicken boullion paste in saucepan. Bring to a boil then reduce heat and simmer for 10-15 minutes until liquid is absorbed and rice is tender. 
       
    2. Turn off heat and let rice sit for a couple minutes.  
       
    3. Add chopped cilantro and lime juice and stir to combine. 
       
    4. Taste for seasoning and add more salt if needed.
